A Millionaire at Midnight

A Millionaire At Midnight

Boston socialite Morgan Lett is having a run of bad luck. Her fiancé just dumped her for her stepsister, the charity foundation she’s given her life to is in danger of folding, and now, the gorgeous man she bid on and won at a masquerade bachelor auction turns out to be a cold-hearted jerk…and her new employer.

Millionaire Alexander Bishop needs the best wife money can buy. In order to inherit his family business, he must get engaged—fast. And Morgan, with her beauty and pedigree, is the perfect candidate. Her sharp tongue may drive him crazy, but she needs money to save the foundation she loves, and he needs a fiancée. It’s a flawless arrangement—no strings, no love. But soon she has him craving more, and cursing the platonic terms of their agreement.

Still, he won’t allow need—no matter how hot it burns—to threaten everything he’s built.

A Millionaire At Midnight

Elsie’s Rating – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Morgan Lett ends her engagement to her philandering boyfriend Troy after catching him in bed with her step-sister Cynthia. Adding insult to injury her step-sister announces her engagement to Troy, it’s hard to keep your head held high, but when Cynthia informs Morgan that the building her beloved charity is housed in is to be sold, you would think that’s the final blow. But Morgan’s not down for the count, can she raise enough money to buy the building before it’s too late?

Alex Bishop is determined to never fall in love again, he has been burned one too many times. But he’s caught between a rock and a hard place when the board of the company he brought back from the brink of bankruptcy, insist they need a leader who has “Family Values” in other words Alex needs a fiancee.

When Morgan and Alex meet at a charity auction, let’s just say sparks don’t fly, but fate keeps bringing them back together and maybe, just maybe, they can call a truce long enough to benefit them both.

This story is a mix of Cinderella and marriage of convenience, yeah, I know what you’re thinking, It’s been done a million times. True, but there’s a reason! There are so many ways to spin the story and Naima Simone spins it well! There’s humor, heartbreak, a brooding hero, a girl who won’t accept defeat and plenty of heat between Morgan and Alex.

If you’re looking for a light read that leaves a smile on your face, look no further.

Naima Simone

Naima’s love of romance was first stirred by Johanna Lindsey and Linda Howard many years ago. Though her first attempt at writing a romance novel at 11 never saw the light of day, her love of romance and writing has endured. Now, she spends her time creating stories of unique men and women who experience the dizzying heights of passion and the tender heat of love.

She is the wife to Superman – or his non-Kryptonian, less bullet proof equivalent – and mother to the most awesome kids ever. They all live in perfect, domestically-challenged bliss in the southern United States.
